Top 10 items that you need for a weekend getaway

Sometimes, all I need to do is get away for the weekend. But with so many things to do to get ready, I often forget to pack things, or pack too much in fear of forgetting things. I know. It makes me feel so idiotic because I do this every time I travel! But there is a simple solution:

Here are the top 10 things on my list for a weekend getaway:

A simple denim skirt is a staple for any vacation. Anywhere. This is because you can layer a denim skirt with almost anything, and still look chic!

A plain tee is a total and absolute necessity, because you can wear it in any type of weather with the right layering.

A denim jacket is cute, and adds that bit of casual-chic to an otherwise formal, (or not formal) outfit so that you can wear it anywhere.

A beautifully bright and patterned scarf looks pretty perfect to me layered over anything. Try with a denim jacket.

Strappy sandals are great, especially if you consider that summer is coming. I know that I can rely on this pair anywhere, from the beach to a fancy party.

Without a nail file, my nails would die. Seriously. I am not kidding. And what's great about a nail file is that you can use one anywhere to polish up your nails.

My claim to fame: perfectly glossed lips. These two are some of my personal favorites- a lightweight day gloss and a glittery party version. Both are moisturizing, and easy to apply.

A portable yet pretty palate is a good palate. And I don’t know about you, but I love glitter. And the color pink. And glitter. Did I mention glitter?

Moisturizer should smell nice. It is just as much of a rule as that 1+1 is 2. Simple. And this one is apple-hibiscus scented, which makes it all that much better. And it reduces wrinkles. (Which I totally have)

Dry shampoo is absolutely necessary for everyone. We can agree on that, can’t we? But dealing with pouring into little bottles for airport security gets old. Fast. But with a handy dandy travel size that you can take everywhere, life’s a blast!
